Our Precision Die Casting Services
If you have custom metal part needs, YS is your trusted die casting service manufacturer. Since 2003, we have upheld our engineering team and equipment to the highest standards, consistently delivering robust and durable parts and prototypes. To ensure unparalleled quality, we adhere to strict die casting processes that meet your custom requirements. Here are two types of die casting capabilities we provide.

Hot Chamber Die Casting
Hot chamber die casting, also referred to as gooseneck casting, boasts a rapid process with a typical casting cycle lasting only 15 to 20 minutes. This method is well-suited for high-volume production of relatively complex parts. It is particularly suitable for materials such as zinc alloy, lean alloys, copper, and other alloys with low melting points.

Cold Chamber Die Casting
The cold chamber die casting process is a critical procedure that effectively minimizes heat and addresses corrosion issues in a machine’s plunger and related components.
This method is primarily employed for alloys with high melting points, such as aluminum, magnesium, certain copper alloys, and ferrous alloys.

Alloys Used to Make Die Casting Parts
Non-ferrous metals with low melting temperatures, such as aluminum, zinc, magnesium, lead, and copper, are suitable for the die casting process. However, uncommon and ferrous metals are also possible. The following will elucidate the properties of the commonly used die casting alloys employed for the majority of parts.

Aluminum Alloys
Aluminum die casting alloy is a lightweight structural metal primarily composed of silicon, copper, magnesium, iron, manganese, and zinc.
It demonstrates high thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, cutting performance, and minimal linear shrinkage, showcasing excellent casting performance and filling ability.
Furthermore, aluminum alloys can maintain favorable mechanical properties under both high and low temperatures due to their low density and high strength.
Commonly used aluminum alloys include A380, A360, A390, A413, ADC-12, and ADC-1.

Zinc Alloys
The primary elements added to zinc die casting alloy are aluminum, copper, and magnesium.
It provides a good surface finish without the need for secondary processing. Importantly, zinc alloy is more cost-effective and stronger than other comparable alloys.
Also, it has better fluidity and corrosion resistance, making it mainly used for die-casting meters, automotive parts housings, and other complex metal parts.
Commonly used zinc alloys include Zamak-2, Zamak-3, Zamak-5, Zamak-7, ZA-8, ZA-12, and ZA-27.

Magnesium Alloys
The main alloying elements of magnesium die casting alloy include aluminum, zinc, manganese, cerium, thorium, and a small amount of zirconium or cadmium.
It has the advantages of high strength, low viscosity, good fluidity, great corrosion resistance, and easy filling of complex cavities.
Magnesium alloy can be used for die casting of molds and thin-wall parts without thermal cracks.
Commonly used magnesium alloys include AZ91D, AM60B, and AS41B.
Die Casting Surface Finishes
Post-processing and finishing represent the ultimate stage in precision die casting. In this phase, various finishing techniques are applied to eliminate surface defects from cast parts, improve mechanical or chemical properties, and enhance the overall cosmetic appearance of the products. There are six distinct types of die casting surface finish options.
| Name | Description | Materials | Color | Texture | Link |
![]() | As Cast | A standard casting finish is achieved without the need for high-end tools or machinery. For materials such as Zinc and Aluminum-Zinc, parts can retain a natural as-cast appearance while maintaining high corrosion resistance. | All materials | n/a | n/a | / |
![]() | Powder Coating | Powder coating is employed to apply a free-flowing, dry powder onto zinc alloy and aluminum alloy die castings. Through strong electrostatic forces and high temperatures, the powder uniformly adheres to the casting’s surface, creating a powder layer that effectively conceals defects. | Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Steel | Black, any RAL code or Pantone number | Gloss or semi-gloss | Learn More>> |
![]() | Bead Blasting | Bead Blasting is a technique that propels fine glass beads onto the surface of die casting parts at high speed, utilizing compressed air as the propelling medium. This process alters the appearance or shape of the part, providing thorough cleaning and surface preparation for subsequent finishing operations. | ABS, Aluminum, Brass, Stainless Steel, Steel | n/a | Matte | Learn More>> |
![]() | Anodizing | Primarily used for aluminum alloy die casting, anodizing employs electrochemical principles to produce a layer of aluminum oxide (Al2O3) film on the surface of the parts. This decorative oxide film layer offers high insulation and wear resistance. | Aluminum | Clear, black, grey, red, blue, gold | Smooth, matte finish | Learn More>> |
![]() | Electro Phoresis | In accordance with European and American conventions, electrophoresis is employed for aluminum alloy and zinc alloy die casting, among other applications. This process imparts a metallic sheen and an extensive spectrum of colors to the cast parts. Additionally, it serves to improve the surface characteristics and corrosion resistance of metal alloy components. | Aluminum, Zinc, Stainless Steel | Any | Metallic luster | / |
![]() | Electroplating | Electroplating serves various purposes, encompassing functionality, decoration, and corrosion prevention. It finds widespread application across multiple industries, with the automotive sector being a notable example. In this industry, it is commonplace to employ electroplating for chrome-plating steel automobile components. | Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel | n/a | Smooth, glossy finish | Learn More>> |
![]() | Brushing | Brushing is a surface treatment process that involves the use of abrasive belts to create distinctive patterns on the surface of a material, typically for aesthetic purposes. | ABS, Aluminum, Brass, Stainless Steel, Steel | n/a | Satin | Learn More>> |
